CueDeck: Live Audio Performance Software

CueDeck’s Input and EQ strips

Just a quick update to say that the input and EQ stage of each track in CueDeck’s interface has been recoded to make much better use of the BASS audio API we’re using as the backend to our product.

It’s all just code at the moment, but it’s working beautifully. The idea is that each track in CueDeck will be treated like a channel strip, in that you’ll be able to adjust gain, pan, phase and EQ (using a 4-band parametric EQ) for a specific track, and those settings will be stored and recalled each time you play the track. If you’ve got an effect that’s too bright, and it needs to sound like it’s coming from off stage – no problem – just dial down the HF using the EQ, and maybe even pan the effect to the left or right … the settings are unique to the track.

In addition to the channel strip on each track; each Deck will have it’s own output channel strip. Think of the deck like a buss or matrix output: You can tweak the master gain, pan and EQ of everything heading through that Deck if you want.

And better yet, all this happens in real time with less than a milliseconds of latency.

Anyway, enough excitement about parametric equalisers … back to work!
